This strand offers direct, in-person training coupled with virtual support to targeted schools and an annual conference accessible to all schools within its universal offer. The aim of this strand is to work closely with all schools to upskill staff in managing the needs of children with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) through the application of core quality first teaching strategies in the classroom.
 

Universal Offer:

  • Yearly SLCN Conference (In collaboration with Health)– share of good practice with key note speakers such as NAPLIC
  • Termly Best Practice Network Meeting via Teams/Zoom
  • The Communication Supportive Environment’ co delivered by OT/EP & SALT
  • Oracy in the classroom – Online Training (Primary & Secondary)
  • Phonological Awareness and Literacy – Online Training
